The slightly sad news is that you will need to wait approximately 30 days to then drink down that batch. To help you get going, it would be wise of you to opt for a prepackaged beer recipe. You can most certainly get supplies that will enable you to put your own recipe together, but you will significantly increase the difficulty of your first brew by adding the concoction of your own recipe to the process of brewing your first batch. Although some people argue that a prepackaged recipe or beer bag may not come close to making your own recipe, they still offer great flavor and drastically reduce the difficulty level of your first few brews.
